Access control

Access control ensures that only authorized persons have access to a home, building or space. Examples of physical access control are mechanical means such as locks and keys, as well as access control systems such as a turnstile.

Access control is all about managing who has access, where and when. An access control system determines who can enter or leave a space, where this can happen and when. Mechanical locks and keys offer limited possibilities for setting restrictions. In addition, they do not record which key has been used on a particular door, and keys can easily be copied or given to an unauthorized person. If a mechanical key is lost or the holder is no longer authorized, locks often need to be replaced.

Access control systems make it possible to know exactly who, where and when has entered a building or site. Schuurman Technology's access control systems offer a modern approach by using advanced technologies such as mobile phones, QR codes and other digital solutions. These systems ensure manageable and user-friendly access control. The digital attendance registration, together with a personal access badge and a sign-out system at an emergency column outside the site, provides quick and efficient insight into who has left the site and who has not. Schuurman Technology can also integrate an evacuation module with the access control, which saves time during evacuations and reduces costs.
